Here you'll find a list of all our yarn qualities, sorted by yarn group and knitting tension/gauge.

Keep in mind that the various yarn options must be valued on the basis that they have different properties and texture. Recommended needle size and gauge/tension is only an indication and can vary depending on the type of design and personal taste. If you are unsure you will always get help and guidance from your DROPS-dealer.

Yarn qualities with the same or nearly same knitting tension can be used for the same patterns.
You may also mix the various yarn qualities as follows:

For example: Two strands Alpaca create the same knitting tension and thickness as one strand Alaska.
